Matthews Strategic Advisory ("MSA," "we," "us," "our") is a strategic advisory practice based in Hong Kong, covering Southeast Asia and Greater China. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use matthews.asia (the "Site"), purchase a report, request access to the Matthews Terminal, or subscribe to the MSA Monthly Brief.
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, organisation, and any information you enter in a contact form, Matthews Terminal access request, report-alert signup, or purchase. When you complete a purchase, payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not directly collect or store your card details. If you create a Matthews Terminal account, we also keep your company, your role if you give it, your email preferences, your plan, and basic usage records such as the dates you sign in and use the Terminal.
We use the information you provide to deliver the product or service you have requested, respond to enquiries, process payments, deliver purchased reports, and manage Monthly Brief subscriptions. If you sign up for new-report email alerts, we use your email address only to notify you when a new MSA report publishes, and you can ask to be removed from this list at any time by emailing advisory@matthews.asia. For Matthews Terminal accounts, we use your email address to send sign-in codes, to give you access according to your plan, and, if you opt in, to send the weekly digest, which you can switch off at any time from your account menu. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. MSA does not store your card number, expiry date, or CVC. Stripe's own privacy practices govern the handling of payment card data; see Stripe's privacy policy for details.
The Site may use basic analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns, such as which pages are visited and how visitors navigate the Site. We do not use this data to build individual advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal information to advertisers. Matthews Terminal uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in; it is not used for advertising or tracking across other sites. To count daily visitors, the Terminal stores a one-way coded daily identifier rather than your IP address.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Site and deliver our products (for example, Stripe for payment processing), solely for that purpose, and only to the extent necessary. If MSA or Matthews Terminal is sold, merged or reorganised, personal information may transfer to the new owner as part of that transaction, and it will remain protected in line with this Policy.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to deliver the product or service requested, maintain accurate business records, and comply with our legal and tax obligations.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
